The Silvio Carta winery and distillery takes home four Red Awards at The WineHunter Award, the prestigious recognition curated by Helmuth Köcher for the Merano WineFestival 2026.
Scoring between 90 and 92.9 points, the accolades were awarded to:
- Vernaccia di Oristano DOC Riserva 2006
- 41bis Aged, Sardinian Blue Agave Aged Spirit (The WH Spirits Award)
- Whisky Island of Sardinia (The WH Spirits Award)
- Limonello Zero (The WH Spirits Award)
A tribute to the excellence and quality defining the Silvio Carta portfolio, expressed through distinct spirits sharing deep, authentic roots. It all begins with the heritage of Vernaccia di Oristano, aged in century-old Sardinian chestnut casks. Those very same casks also age 41bis Aged—a spirit distilled from blue agave grown and harvested in Sardinia—and Whisky Island of Sardinia, another entirely island-born creation aged for three years. Completing the lineup is our ongoing research into the non-alcoholic space with Limonello Zero.
