All these scents mix together in an elegant and enveloping myrtle hug that stands out in the mouth, dominated by the plant notes, in a very refined sweet-and-sour arm wrestling leading to a dry ending rich in Mediterranean aftertaste.
Curiosities
A jewel of Sardinia with very deep roots, recognized as a traditional product with the Law Decree no. 173 in 1998. Mirto was a homemade product on the island since the 19th century: it was made by macerating ripe berries in a mixture of spirit and water. At the end of the maceration period, sugar or honey was added to the extracted liqueur in order to sweeten it.
The philosophy of the Silvio Carta company is to produce an extremely high quality Mirto. The historical recipe is simple: excellent ingredients and in the right quantity, patience and a lot of passion.
